Meeting Review - Thursday 26th April -People competition

posted 2 May 2012 12:13 by Allan Michie   [ updated 16 May 2012 03:06 ]
As usual we could enter two images into both print and digital image (PDI) categories, and we had some 36 entries into each category.
The guest judge was our old friend from Bracknell Photographic Club, Geoff Lawrence, who very kindly gave up an opportunity to listen to a talk by David Noton, the famous Landscape photographer.
In the prints there were four 'tens'  awarded, two to Tony Mearman and one each to Pam Loft and Allan Michie. In the DPI , there were three 10s awarded,  Tony Mearman, David Hughes and Ernie Loft.
The overall winner was “The smile” by  Ernie Loft.

People photography is not considered to be  an easy subject, especially without studio access, however we had a good response and a very enjoyable night.

The 'tens' were awarded to...

PDI:       Tony Mearman - Peek a boo
             Ernie Loft - The Smile
             David Hughes - Maria

Prints:  Tony Mearman - Reclining Redhead
             Tony Mearman - the Stare
             Pam Loft - Buskers
             Allan Michie - Slippery stuff

Geoff Lawrence, judge for the evening.
