07-08-2009: WEBCC Annual Exhibition opened by Deputy Mayor
On Friday 7th August Councillor Julian McGhee-Sumner, Wokingham Town Deputy Mayor opened the Wokingham and East Berks. Camera Club Annual Exhibition which is being held at the Cantley Lodge Artsbar in Wellington Road, Wokingham from Saturday 8th August until Thursday 3rd September. Admission to the exhibition is free.
On show are nearly 50 recent examples of WEBCC members' photographs. WEBCC Chairman Peter Odds said that the Club has become closely associated with Wokingham's leisure and cultural activities and that membership had risen from some 25 people in 2004 when the club started to more than 50 currently.

10-12-2008: WEBCC Awarded Cash Prize
Wokingham and East Berks. Camera Club have been awarded a cash prize of £200 in the Wokingham Times Community Cash scheme that offers charities and other non-profit-making groups the chance to win cash by getting members of a group or club to collect tokens for a chance to win. The scheme is sponsored by Gibbons Limited who have a furniture shop in Wokingham's Denmark Street.

On the left is Adam Smith, Editor of the Wokingham Times. Peter Odds said that WEBCC was delighted to receive the cheque which had been won largely through the efforts of Rodney Hart who organised the club's entry in the competition. It had not been decided yet how the money would be spent but, there was a strong possibility that it would be used to buy for the club, equipment to colour calibrate member's computer monitors and the club's digital projector.
01-11-2008: WEBCC 2007/8 Awards
As several people were unable to receive their awards at the AGM in June they were recently presented during a club evening. The presentations were made by Peter Odds WEBCC Chairman.
Marc Reynolds received the Quarterly Competitions Large Prints Cup.
Clare Odds received the Quarterly Competitions Small Prints Cup engraved panel as the cup had previously been presented.
Arnold George received the Quarterly Competitions Slides Cup.
Rodney Hart received the Photographer of the Year Cup engraved panel as the cup had previously been presented.
25-10-2008: Exhibition at Cornerstone Open Day
Wokingham and East Berks. Camera Club (WEBCC) as regular users supported the Cornerstone Open Day on 11th October with a display of their photographs. WEBCC meets regularly at the Cornerstone on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays in the month. Current membership of WEBCC has risen to 40, almost doubled the number of members when it started in Wokingham in September 2005.

13-09-2008: Summer Challenge
