Each Competition will have a Gold award for the winner. There will also be awards for Silver, Bronze & Highly.

The Biennial competition is actually four competitions, with PDIs on 7th May and Prints on 14th May. There will also be separate categories for Advanced & Intermediate.

Each competition will be judged by a panel of 3 experienced and highly qualified judges. They will score each of the images and one of them will give a brief critique. In some instances, where an image is scored highly by only 2 judges, there may be some discussion and possibly a rescore.

The competitions round off the competition season and are aimed at being a showcase for your very best images. Whilst we encourage all members to enter you do need to think about each entry as a real contender for the top prizes. You should avoid selecting an image where you just want to hear what the judges think about it, as there won’t be any traditional critique on the night.

For each evening we have extended the timing, so we aim to finish the competition and awards by 10.30 and leave the hall by 10.45.
